Dying Light: The Beast: At this year’s Summer Game Fest, Techland gave fans a long-awaited update on Dying Light: The Beast, revealing the launch date and sharing gameplay footage.
The release timeframe had been hinted at during The Game Awards 2024, but fresh info was missing until now.
The latest teaser for Dying Light: The Beast provided a solid look at how the game will feel to play, very much in line with earlier entries. Even better, it’s set to launch on August 22, making the wait almost over.
Dying Light: The Beast Release Date Revealed
Kyle Crane returns in Dying Light: The Beast, but this isn’t the Kyle you remember. Years of being captured and experimented on have changed him, revealing a much darker personality. However, the original Crane still lingers beneath the surface.
One standout feature is The Beast mode, which Crane can activate thanks to the experiments. This berserk state ramps up his damage and health, but he can’t use weapons here.
Instead, he fights hand-to-hand with monsters and enemies, hurling rocks and finishing foes with brutal moves. There’s also a skill tree to enhance his powers.
Dying Light: The Beast
Developed and published by Techland, Dying Light: The Beast is a survival horror game coming in mid-2025.
What started as DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human has evolved into its own standalone release for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
Kyle Crane, the original game’s protagonist, stars again in The Beast. Once he breaks free from the Baron’s 13 years of twisted experiments, he embarks on a path of revenge against this mysterious foe.
As you move forward in the game, Crane will gain new skills that boost his combat power. The game keeps the series’ 4-player co-op multiplayer mode intact.
