  • The official name, Stranger Than Heaven, was revealed in the trailer
  • According to the trailer, the events now occur in the year 1943

Project Century’s latest trailer dropped at Summer Game Fest, announcing the end of its working title phase. The game from RGG Studio will officially be called Stranger Than Heaven.

The trailer may or may not clarify the mysteries from the initial reveal, possibly introducing new ones instead.

The first reveal took place in 1915, while this trailer moves us to 1943. How this affects the story is still unknown, but multiple time periods seem to be in play.

Opening in a calm 1940s environment, the trailer follows the protagonist before transitioning into combat-heavy gameplay. It looks like players can choose between mercy or lethal force against adversaries.

All that’s left is to wait for the next trailer for more clues. That might not clarify things either, as it could place us in yet another time period. The full picture may only become clear when the game launches, but we don’t know when that will happen.

Stranger Than Heaven didn’t receive a relea se date or window at Summer Game Fest, unlike many other games. However, with the amount of new footage presented, we might not have to wait much longer to know when it’s coming.

Stranger Than Heaven is another upcoming release from RGG Studios, famous for the Like a Dragon series that rarely goes long without a new game. This year’s standout was Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which came out in February.

The previous year brought Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and the year before that was Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
