In Short:

  • Splinter Cell Remake is back on gamers’ radar. Ubisoft hinted at the remake just days before Summer Game Fest
  • After having a look at the game, Tom Henderson described it as nothing short of impressive
  • With no updates for a long time, this fresh glimpse has made fans buzzing

It all happened on Friday as the day brought a surprise from Ubisoft. After years of silence, they dropped a strange screenshot, possibly of Sam Fisher.

Just a week before Summer Game Fest 2025, Ubisoft dropped a mysterious teaser. It might signal a full re-reveal and maybe more. A trusted insider has now added fuel to the fire.

Splinter Cell Remake Could Make 2025 a Legendary Year for Gaming

Tom Henderson praised the look of the Splinter Cell remake in a social post. He also said the Friday screenshot isn’t from the game itself, which should ease fans’ minds.

Few insiders are as dependable as Henderson when it comes to Ubisoft. He broke early news on Splinter Cell in 2021.

Insider Gaming shared in October that the Splinter Cell remake hadn’t been scrapped. It’s using the Snowdrop Engine, also seen in Star Wars Outlaws. A 2026 launch was rumored, though not confirmed.

With so much time gone since the first reveal, a proper update is due. Meanwhile, one superfan improved the original game and brought back some lost parts.
