At first, the video was on YouTube, but it has since been removed.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Console Menu is set to launch worldwide on June 5, but an unboxing video has already been posted on YouTube. Given that many retailers have the console ready, an early reveal was anticipated.
The unboxing video showed the console being opened and an attempt to switch it on, which didn’t work due to a required update. Fans assumed this update was necessary for the handheld to function.
According to @DoesItPlay1 on X/Twitter, the initial update is only mandatory for running Nintendo Switch 1 titles and some features.
Nintendo fans said the mandatory system update was to prevent leaks. Turns out, there IS NO mandatory system update, according to the post below. https://t.co/qsVKVryYoC

The handheld wasn’t shown in action, but the video did reveal bits of the Switch 2’s menu. Nintendo is better prepared for leaks now compared to the original Switch launch.
Due to Web Capio’s copyright claims, YouTube removed the unboxing videos, yet some clips still circulate on Reddit.

The user agreement from Nintendo has been updated recently. It grants them the right to partially or fully brick a Switch if terms are violated. They can also access your chats, with your permission, if misuse is suspected.
While the Switch 2 isn’t officially sold in India, the grey market appears to be stocked. A few Switch 2 games are already available for pre-order locally.
