The much-anticipated April Nintendo Switch 2 Direct has aired, packed with fresh details about the next-gen console.
More than 40 Nintendo Switch 2 games were shown off in the latest hour-long Direct. Some were given a closer look, while others zipped by in quick previews.
Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games
Every game featured is coming to the new console, and this roundup will expand as more titles are announced ahead of the June 5 launch and afterward. Here’s the current lineup.

Some physical releases will be distributed via “Game-Key Cards.” And while you’ll be able to play plenty of Switch 1 games through backward compatibility, there will be a few exceptions.
Mario Kart World
- Release Date: June 5
Mario Kart World is the standout launch title for the Switch 2, bringing a fresh blend of kart racing, online co-op, and open-world adventure. It’ll be offered individually and in a console bundle.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom–Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
- Release Date: June 5
As per the Latest Gaming News, Nintendo is launching a Switch 2 version of Tears of the Kingdom, packed with improvements similar to its earlier release.
Both upgraded titles will support the Zelda Notes feature via the Nintendo Switch mobile app, including voice-enabled navigation, live maps, and in Tears of the Kingdom, the ability to upload and share Autobuild plans.
Sonic X Shadows Generations

On launch day, Switch 2 owners can dive into Sonic X Shadows Generations, one of several Sega games coming to the system. Alongside beloved Sonic classics, the game offers a fresh storyline focused on Shadow confronting a deadly threat from his history.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour
- Release Date: June 5
Designed to introduce players to the Nintendo Switch 2, Welcome Tour offers an interactive tutorial featuring minigames and technology demos. It’s a paid experience, but Nintendo has not yet set a price.
GameCube Classics
- Release Date: June 5
At launch, the Switch 2 version of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass will introduce GameCube games to its catalog. Early announcements include F-Zero GX, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Soulcalibur II, and Wind Waker.
Split Fiction
- Release Date: June 5
Josef Fares, founder of Hazelight, confirmed at the Switch 2 Direct that the studio’s new co-op game, Split Fiction, will be included in the lineup when the console launches on June 5.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
- Release Date: June 5
During the Switch 2 Direct, CD Projekt Red confirmed Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, featuring both the main game and the Project Liberty expansion, will launch alongside the Nintendo Switch 2.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
- Release Date: June 5
Launching alongside Switch 2, FF7 Remake Intergrade brings the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga to the console on June 5.
The release includes the Intermission expansion, which follows Yuffie in a side adventure that connects the Remake and Rebirth chapters.
Street Fighter 6
- Release Date: June 5
Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 will be available at Switch 2’s launch day in the Years 1-2 Fighter Edition, which brings together all DLC characters so far, including the SNK guest stars Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII–Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

On Nintendo Switch 2, Civilization VII will feature mouse functionality thanks to the Joy-Con 2, enhancing the game beyond its original Switch release and offering a PC-style play experience while mobile.
Hogwarts Legacy

The Nintendo Switch 2 will include Hogwarts Legacy as a launch title, with Warner Bros. and Portkey Games confirming its arrival. The game will support mouse input via Joy-Con 2, although full details on this feature remain unannounced.
Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster

Along with Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix is bringing a polished HD version of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy to Switch 2.
Set to release on June 5, this remaster features gameplay improvements and introduces two new Joy-Con 2 mouse-controlled minigames.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut

With Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, Sega is reintroducing the action-packed origins of the series as part of the Switch 2’s launch lineup—marking the franchise’s first appearance on the platform.
Fortnite

Good news for Fortnite fans as Nintendo has confirmed during the Switch 2 Direct that the game will be available at launch. Whether you’re building with LEGO, rocking out in rhythm mode, or diving into battle royale, you’ll be able to do it all on Switch 2.
It’s also rumored that Fortnite will support the new Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, giving players more precision during matches.
Hitman: World of Assassination – Signature Edition

Deltarune Chapters 1-4

Survival Kids

Super Mario Party Jamboree is one such title, with its Jamboree TV expansion offering extra minigames and improved camera options.
Madden NFL 26

While the next Madden NFL won’t be available on PS4 or Xbox One, it will arrive on the Switch 2. Fans can expect the familiar football action, managing real teams, and everything that makes the annual series so popular.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land–Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World

The upgraded Kirby and the Forgotten Land for Switch 2 includes Star-Crossed World, a brand-new story arc where Kirby confronts a crisis caused by a falling meteor. Armed with enhanced Mouthful Mode techniques, he’ll fight to save the Forgotten Land.

Kirby Air Riders

Kirby Air Riders returns after a 20-year break, racing onto the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime this year. The teaser trailer gave fans a glimpse of Kirby in high-speed action, and Masahiro Sakurai is officially directing the game.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road
- Release Date: August 21
Coming August 21, Level-5’s soccer game, long in the making—will debut as a digital-only release for both Switch and Switch 2. It brings along support for Mouse Mode, GameChat, and both cross-play and cross-save between systems.
