Sony is launching its annual Days of Play event from May 28 to June 11, offering deals on PS5 consoles, accessories, and best-selling games, despite ongoing tariff worries and a cost-of-living crisis.
Notably, this is the first time the PS5 Pro, which debuted last year, will be discounted.
For more information, head to PlayStation’s site; meanwhile, here’s a concise list of sale items
- Starting at $399.99 USD / $509.99 CAD in the United States and Canada, the PS5 console bundled with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Digital and Standard) offers savings of up to $119.99 USD / $159.99 CAD over buying the items individually.
- PlayStation 5 Pro console now $50 cheaper
- The PS5 console (Digital and Standard) will launch on sale in specific regions such as Europe and Asia, with prices starting at €399.99 / £339.99 / ¥65,980
Usually coordinated with the Summer Game Fest announcements from June 6th, this year’s Days of Play sale holds distinct importance for Sony and fellow console producers like Nintendo.
Xbox hasalready enhanced its console prices worldwide, and Sony has increased prices in regions including Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, citing inflation and exchange rate volatility.
North America may see price hikes soon due to the Trump Administration’s tariff policies, though they have not occurred yet. The Days of Play sale might be your final chance to buy a PS5 in the US before any increases.
Given the sale launch and the upcoming Summer Game Fest, Sony is expected to announce a PlayStation State of Play event in the near future.
