Pokémon TCG Expansion: If reports are to be believed, it was expected that Pokemon will shortly release its upcoming TCG expansion. Now, as the name suggests, the content inside the game will be quite similar.
The above move will finally focus on Mega Evolved Pokemon that was earlier introduced Legends: Z-A—into after the company planing to drop the expansion in 2025 ahead.
Looking at the recent announcement, it indicates that the year 2025 is going to be a landmark year for Pokémon TCG.
It all happened after the company launched Prismatic Evolutions, that was in huge demands. It was then later introduced Trainers’ Pokémon directly to the game.
Later, reports indicated that Destined Rivals managed to bring back Team Rocket back into the mix. The current situation is that White Flare and Black Bolt are going to announce TCG’s first split English set. This will explicitely feature some special cards of each and every Pokémon.
Many gamers remain excited about any new updates regarding Pokemon at all times. This is what happened quite recently when the company suddenly revaled its upcoming expansion titled Mega Evolution. It will largely focus on Mega Evolutions.
At the same time, the new ly launched expansion will stick along with Pokémon Legends: Z-A. At the same time, it is also being expected that it will also mark the return of Mega Evolutions to the TCG.
Mega Evolution Returns in Pokémon TCG’s Upcoming Expansion
It all happened in the month of February, when Mega Evolutions returned to the Pokémon TCG for the first time. It simply marked the return of mechanic that was not witnessed since XY Evolutions in 2016.
The swift return basically marked the presence of Mega Lucario ex, and Mega Gardevoir ex. It further managed to add Mega Venusaur ex and Mega Latias ex. It still holds a decent record of highest HP in TCG history.
After the launch of Pokémon Mega expansion, the Pokemon company has insisted that it will largely focus on the Mega Evolution in the next Pokémon TCG set which is expected to release on September 26, 2025.
The details ofg the expansion are already there. As per the report, the expansion is expected to have at least 10 Special Illustration Rares, Mega Evolutions, 22 Ultra Rare cards spanning Trainers, and 10 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards. All of these happen to be the key Supporters and Mega Pokémon.
As per the current scenario, Pokémon Center has still not announced any sort of pre-orders for the new expansion. But it can be released any time. The release is expected to ignite yet another chaotic sellout. At this time we can only hope to have more product to go around—though I wouldn’t bet on it.
