Get ready for Pokémon Legends: Z-A and its Switch 2 edition drop on October 16, 2025. Preorders will go live starting June 5, according to The Pokémon Company.

Pokémon Legends: Z-Aw Pokémon Presents on July 22, where the latest updates will be shared. In addition, Mega Evolution-themed products are now available at the Pokémon Center.

Both digital and physical copies of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the Switch qualify for a $10 upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition, which delivers upgraded visuals and frame rates. The upgrade is available via the eShop or My Nintendo Store.

As part of a larger tribute to Mega-Evolved favorites, fans can enjoy themed content and merchandise. The Pokémon Center will release a variety of items throughout the year, including plushies, clothing, and accessories inspired by Mega Evolution.

As of today, Pokémon fans can collect large pins of Mega Charizard X and Y, and dive into a themed capsule collection filled with clothing and accessories inspired by Mega Venusaur, Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and more.

Pokémon fans in North America and the U.K. who preorder Pokémon Legends: Z-A starting next month can look forward to a free Sitting Cuties plush—randomly selected from Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile.

The announcement of Pokémon Legends: Z-A came at last year’s Pokémon Presents, accompanied by a cinematic trailer featuring a futuristic Lumiose City.

We started with just a few clues, the game was set to release on Nintendo Switch this year, plus some light Pokémon teases. Then, during a Pokémon Direct earlier this year, we got a deeper glimpse, including many Pokémon, new characters, and rooftop running by the main character.
